The Giingan Experience
The Giingan Experience is about Gumbaynggirr people, language and culture. The Cultural Experience takes place at an important cultural site of the Gumbaynggirr people, the stunning location of “Niigi Niigi” (Sealy Lookout) within the Orara East State Forest. Learn some of our local language and immerse yourself in our local indigenous culture through stories, songs, language and the uses of native plants. A must do experience for the whole family.
Big Banana Fun Park
Enjoy a family friendly, banana themed amusement park – voted Number 1 thing to do on the Coffs Coast, offering activities such as Ice-skating, Mini Golf, Waterslides (and MORE!). A fantastic day out for the whole family, be sure to stop by the cafe for one of their famous banana splits!
Dolphin Marine Conservation Park
This multi-award-winning marine wildlife park has aquariums, opportunities to swim with dolphins and seals plus shows and activities. With plenty of opportunity to view the marine animals in an up-close, but safe manner. With a focus on rescue and rehabilitation for native marine animals, you can feel good knowing your support is going towards rehabilitation and care of local injured marine animals.
Reptile World
View Venomous Snakes. Pat a Python. Learn about Lizards. And….Smile at a Crocodile! A fantastic way to (safely) get up close and person with some of the most venous and dangerous snakes of Australia. The team at Reptile World is passionate and knowledgable about snakes, retiles and crocodiles. Learn about each individual species and their unique adaptations to inhabit and survive in our vast country. Locally owned and conveniently located within the Big Banana Fun Park.
Tree Tops
Swing through the trees with the Tree Tops exciting and challenging obstacle courses high up in the tree canopy. It will have all of the family swinging, leaping, climbing and flying through the forest – allowing thrill seekers and nature enthusiasts to experience the trees like never before!
Butterfly House
Let your imagination take flight as you immerse yourself in the magic of the Butterfly House. It’s summer year round in the butterfly dome, with butterflies hatching and filling the canopy (can you spot the fairy home?). Stop by the cafe before you explore the maze and head down to catch the dinosaur show. Fun, interactive and engaging.
Botanic Gardens
Pack a picnic and enjoy the tranquil setting of the Botanic gardens. Located right in the centre of town there’s plenty of space for the kids to run around and enjoy the walking trails and gardens. You might even spot a koala or a powerful owl! An accessible and family friendly activity on the Coffs Coast.
The Clog Barn
Explore the mini model village, watch clogs being made and enjoy the selection of ‘Dutchstralian’ style homemade cakes, pancakes and crepes at The Clog Barn.
